Drama department showcases talent in Czech Republic
Students from UCT’s Drama department have returned triumphant from the 2013 Setkani/Encounter Festival that took place from 16 to 20 April in the Czech Republic. The group’s entry in the international competition was in the form of an adaptation of prominent South African playwright Mike Van Graan's Brothers in Blood. Van Graan is also an UCT Drama alumnus.

UCT Drama take top honors at the National Arts Festival - Grahamstown
The UCT Drama Department received the "Best Production Award" for "The Homeless Orchestra" at the 2012 Student Theatre Festival as part of the National Arts Festival. The award was sponsored by the South African Post Office and the Drama Department are proud to house the floating trophy in our cabinet.
"The Homeless Orchestra" director, 4th year Theatre Making student Joana Evans, also shared the "Best Director" award for her efforts.
