Tober Reilly directs "Railroad Angels"
Tober Reilly (Director), is a graduate of the Royal Conservatiore of Scotland. He made his performing debut with New York City Opera in Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. He made his West End debut as Artie Green in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard before joining Canadian Stage Company in Toronto for Martin Guerre (Jean de Coras) and Blood Brothers (Eddie Lyons). His association with Trevor Nunn that began with Sunset Blvd. continued as he joined the National Theatre in London for 2 years. Sladek, A Sexual Congress, How He Lied to Her Husband and the Olivier award winning revival of My Fair Lady (Freddy) followed along with the subsequent West End transfer to the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
For the Scottish National Theatre his credits include The Firebird, Beauty and the Beast and Terrance McNally's Master Class (Tony). Other West End credits include Starlight Express and the international studio cast of Phantom 2: Love Never Dies. His most recent collaboration with Trevor Nunn was the West End production Gone With The Wind and in 2007 he joined the Royal Opera, Covent Garden for Into The Woods (alternate and standby Baker).
He has performed in concert all over the world most recently in a solo concert with the musicians of the BBC Scottish Symphony and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. He has directed and given master classes at the Royal Conservatoire and now, very proudly, here at the University of Cape Town
